Lots of Interesting Computer History Popping Up

Paul Ford wrote an article on the five most influential pieces of software in history. I was delighted to see that I have experience with all of them. Steve Wozniak wrote an article on how he wrote the BASIC interpreter for the Apple I. He was very interesting in writing games for the Apple I and he knew that he could do that in BASIC, so he wrote a BASIC interpreter with no experience or classes in compiler writing.

I remember writing a horse racing game for a microcomputer from Wang that we had at my high school. It had 4K of memory and BASIC. I used the a random number generator to move a collection of horses across the screen. I used the letter h to represent the horses.
