Fun with Economic Data

I read a post by Kevin Drum on the shrinking of government employment. It has a nice graph, that stated it came from the St. Louis branch of the Federal Reserve. I went to that site and discovered a nice web based tool for making graphes of economic data. I made this.

This graph starts a year earlier than Kevin drum's graph, so you can tell that I did not steal it from him. Also I used US Private indiustries ratyher than non-farm.

This is a great service p provided by the government. It can benefit researchers, students, bloggers, and anyone who want to look a real data themselves rather than just read what the media says.
